Last weekend I got to spend time in Westwood with some bruins :) I had a bbq at my new apartment, saw LMFAO in concert, and caught up with friends. I was even lucky enough to catch the sunrise on top of the Palazzo roof on Monday night. I love this city and I'm definitely going to miss UCLA for the next few months, but...OH WELL. SEE YAAAAA!

The time has come...well, almost. My friend Jenna is visiting me tonight from up north and then we're having a family/family-friend dinner tomorrow night, and THEN I leave at 1:40 am on Saturday, finally! My bags are packed and fully loaded. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be to pack for a 3-month adventure in Costa Rica. However, I probably brought some unnecessary items like 11 pairs of shoes, 5 belts, and a bag full of jewelry but whatever, who knows what kinds of nights might be thrown at me when I will NEED to wear them. This is the first time I've been out of the country by myself and surprisingly, I'm not nervous anymore. I was for a little bit, but now the excitement has taken over. It has pushed my nerves out of the way and now I just want to get there. I don't really know what to expect, but I like that. And I know that whatever happens will be amazing. Even if I sit next to a smelly old guy on the plane or don't get any sleep on my 8-hour flight because I'm too excited, or there's a baby crying the entire way...nothing can ruin this. It's all part of my new story, and I hope you follow along with me.
The weather gods, aka weather.com has informed me that there will be thunder storms when I arrive, and 80 degrees (weird). Let's pray my flight doesn't get demolished by the storm and we land safely. Let's also pray I don't totally embarrass myself with my poor Spanish-speaking ability. I'm a bit rusty since AP Spanish 5 with Senora Tubbs. I'm sure I will have tons more to tell when I am settled and get a glimpse of San Jose. So until then, adios!
